What type of ink do you use for the outlines and coloring in the pictures?- asked by Dasksaea

Cool question! I love to talk pens! I LOVE my pens soooo much :)

I use 3 different Faber-Castell PITT artist pens; a fine, medium and a brush pen. They create a reliably solid line and they are Indian Ink so they are waterproof (which makes it easier to color in marker cause they don’t smear, except the medium pen which does smear and I cannot figure out why).

If I have a large patch of black to color in I use the brush pen or Permapaque opaque pigment marker. It is also water resistant and colors solidly.

And for coloring I use a hodge podge of markers and colored pencils. Different markers create different textures. Sometimes I even color in pencil then go over it in marker. You can get some cool effects that way.
